t_text:
POS printers are a piece of hardware that serves as an input and output device in a POS system. They are used to print receipts, tickets, and all other forms of transaction records. They are important to the business's customer service as well as its operational function.

These printers link up to the POS systems by USB, Ethernet, Bluetooth, or Wi-Fi. Once the customer's order has been entered or their payment processed, the software will issue the command to the printer, and a receipt or kitchen order will be produced for either the customer or for back of house operations depending on whether it is the front of house printer or the back of house printer that produces order tickets organized by station, such as bar or grill.

There are two main types of POS printers available to restaurants:

Thermal printers, which print quickly and do not use ink, and

Impact printers, which can withstand high temperatures. The POS system can be configured to use more than one printer, depending on the different departments or stations of the restaurant.
