t_text:
One way to digitize your menu and ordering procedure is through QR code ordering. By putting QR codes on tables or counters, restaurants enable customers to use their cellphones to access the menu.

Although restaurant QR code ordering first gained popularity in 2020 as a means of reducing client touchpoints, it is now a crucial ordering tool for eateries with a small workforce. Typically, restaurants display QR code images on cards, tables, doors, and other key locations throughout the eating area.

Consider online ordering as your restaurant's internet store. Online ordering allows your clients to browse, order, and pay for their orders on any internet-connected device, either in place of or in addition to a general-purpose website that provides details about your restaurant and menu. Online ordering enables restaurants to view their orders in one location and handle them as part of their daily operations when it is coupled with a restaurant POS.

How does QR Code Ordering Work?

A customer uses their mobile phone camera to scan a QR code. Scanning it opens a menu on their phone directly connected to the restaurant's POS. They then order the desired items and can customize their orders on the menu, all from their own device. After an order is placed on the phone, it goes directly into the kitchen just like any other POS order. Some systems allow the customer to pay for the order online. This whole process is quicker, more efficient, and can be contactless.
