      t_text: <p>Payment security is the term used for all methods of keeping customer payment data safe when making a purchase or sale at a restaurant.</p><p>Payment Security means protecting sensitive data such as <a href="https://plumpos.com/mobile-pos/accept-credit-card-payments.html">credit card</a> numbers and personal customer information against fraud, theft, and other unauthorized use, both in the restaurant and online.</p><h2>How Payment Security Works</h2><p>The customer's information is securely transmitted via encryption during the entire transaction process at both the POS and in the payment gateway once payment has been made.</p><p>During this process, sensitive card information is replaced by secure tokens using tokenization technology.</p><p>Several tools work together to help prevent systems from being compromised, including the use of secure hardware, the frequent updating of systems, and access help prevent breaches.</p><p>Together, these tools create an environment that provides customers with a secure and reliable experience during their transaction and help to mitigate the risk to the restaurant of being financially impacted and reputational risks.</p>
