Because of versioning, data that has been overwritten or updated can be retained through a history that can be used for better control and analysis.</p><h2>How does it work?</h2><p>In the modern restaurant landscape, particularly with the use of <a href="https://plumpos.com/blog/top-10-pos-systems-for-restaurants-in-usa.html">POS systems</a>, when a restaurant makes updates to its menu, a new version of the menu is created and stored. This allows operators to compare past versions with the current one and evaluate performance based on previous menu configurations. It also helps maintain consistency across all sales channels, including in-store ordering, online ordering, and delivery platforms.</p>
